Had some luck with freshwater fishing before, but I'm always looking to level up. Any seasoned anglers out there willing to share their best tried and true techniques? Especially interested in what works well for catching bass and trout. You know, stuff like bait choices, casting methods, best times of day, etc. All tips and tricks are appreciated. Thanks!

In my own experience, live bait like worms or minnows can really make a difference. Also, early morning or late evening seem to be prime feeding times for many species. Any thoughts on fly fishing vs. spinning reels for trout?

So, speaking from my personal experience over here, using lures can be super effective when it comes to bass. Particularly, plastic worms seem to have a great success rate. Another trick up my sleeve is to study the water temperature - bass tend to be more active and willing to bite when the water is between 55-85 degrees. As far as trout is concerned, floating baits always worked a charm for me!

Who else has struck gold with an unusual technique? Ever tried something out-of-the-box that unexpectedly attracted a big catch?
