I think all the good spots are overfished. It's almost impossible to find a place where you can reliably catch big fish anymore.

I see everyone's been giving their favorite spots, and while that's great, I've gotta be the devil's advocate here. I've been around a fair number of fishing holes and I reckon it's not just about the location. You can have the best spot in the world, but if you're not there at the right time or using the right technique, you're not much better off than someone casting out in the middle of nowhere.

Also, this whole notion that there's some 'magic' spot where the fish are always biting is a bit of a fisherman's tale, if you ask me. In my experience, fish move around a lot - they follow food sources, changes in temperature, seasonal changes, and so on. What might be a hotspot one week can be a ghost town the next.

Another thing worth remembering: just because a spot is popular doesn't mean it's the best. I've found some of my favorite places to fish in spots that no one else goes to. Less competition, more tranquillity, and sometimes, more fish!

So, take those 'best fishing spot' claims with a grain of salt - part of the fun of fishing is discovering your own secret locations. Do your research, play around with different baits and lures, and be patient. You never know, you might just stumble upon your own personal fishing paradise!
